Lifting Samples?

This has always puzzled me. How is it possible to rip a sound, i.e a synth pad or a baseline of another tune without taking the other sounds with it? :conf::eyes:
please explain :) |

| You can't really, unless there's a part where they play solo. You can sometimes rip a pretty clean sound with careful filtering, but that would more be for a short sample, like a Kick or something. |

That must be some pretty flash software.
Percussion and vocals tend to be the msot commonly lidted/samples material off tracks. This is normally done when they are by thehmselves in the mix.
Sampling synths would be extremely difficult and you would need a simple song to do it.
Most sample synths are taken of the synth, not the song. |
