Pretty good percussion.. but you have A LOT of distortion (clipping) in it and the sounds you use kind of suck (the square wave especially). Reduce your levels and change that sound and you would have a pretty good song.

What a nice melody! I like the beat also. I dont like the bass sound very much, also the square. also the sound is clipping.. But overall, if i gave points, then i'd give 6/10. With some improvements could be 8-9/10 ! you got good base there, finish it. I guess you made this with reason?

Sounds like a Nintendo.

Edit:
And it sounds almost mono. Does it have stereo spread at all?
hey cheggy
Okay, the bottom end is in need of some serious compression. Do you have a multi-band compressor? If so, use it.

The beginning is a bit average but it gets better hey. The strings are nice and form a nice melody too. The nintendo sound needs some extension, amp release, LP cutoff, I don't know, make it less simple.

Your entire mix sounds like it is passing the 0 mark. Its all a little distorted. Can you clean it up a bit.

As for the song, I think it has potential. Get cracking and get it finished.

thanx for the feedback guys :) and also to chevy whats a band compresser?
hey cheggy
Its a cross between a compressor and an eq. Normally, when you compress an entire mix, the compressor works too hard on the lower frequencies, which is not needed for the higher frequencies. On normal compressors, this results in the "pumping" sound and over compression of other frequencies.

A multi band compressor is like 3 compressors in 1 (or 4 in 1, depending on which one you use). It lets you compress each frequency range seperately so that you can heavily compress the bass and sub-bass while having a soft compression in the highs.

Upon listening to your song again though, it sounds like a lot of the frequencies are distorted, so maybe you should have a look at your levels first.

Aside from the obvious mixing problems, this track didn't stand out to me too much personally. Dunno, guess I'm just a little bored with the standard saw type fair, so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt =P
