ok, so I want to sample a synth string from a tune. I can only sample a few seconds before other sounds kick in. So I need to find a way to loop the sample so that it merges into one smooth sound...
Any ideas :conf: |

Open the sound sample in a sound editor prog like Wavelab (you can do this in Soundforge too)
Create a start and end loop point on the sample, click on Sampling --> Crossfade Looper and adjust the loop points until you hear a smooth sound. |

| If you have Cool Edit then there's a really good tutorial on this in the help file. Basically, you want to find the zero crossings and loops from one zero to the next, otherwise you'll get a clipping sound. |

HOw about this instead:
You send me the sample, and I'll loop it for you. Then we both benefit from it. Win-Win. |
