hey has anybody heard of a Technics SL1200MK2-PK, what does that PK mean, and does it say PK on the turntable?, thanks ppl.
Prodigy Child
nobody knows?, I guess I found the rarest Techs of them all.
prestige
where did you see this??
zizack
you sure it wasn't a typo and it was 'BK'? When I bought mine I found out that stood for Black. Probably no help at all...
Prodigy Child
I asked a store downtown here is they sell techs and at what price, and they gave me a list and one said SL1200MK2-PK, but the thing is I don't think its a type, cos I'm pretty sure I heard of something like that afew years ago, the PK rings a bell but I just dunno, they said it was a black turntable though.
VIO
it just means that they are black not silver. cheers.
Inertia
lifted back from the ashes...

The picture on that site shows a silver model, but the product name has "(Black)" at the end. Careful ;)

may that serve as a lesson to all n00bs out there...

but...

it still dont explain why the hell its cheaper than the plain mk2...
djskylz
Maybe it's the country code, wich means that they are imported from some other country. The extension can be found near the serial number, at the back of the tables. But it's only a guess...

Inertia
still doesnt explain the pricetag difference...
