So yep, it's pretty much the end of the road from here. I think it's been a great year for trance and the scene in general. Overall no complaints from 2003 and hopefully next year we'll see the production level raised yet again.

Here are some highlights pour moi, please share!

Production
I really have to say (in terms of trance) Gabriel and Dresden lit it up this year. Track after track of brilliant . Walking the fine line between emotion and cheese G&D (IMO) are brilliant and will be around for ages.

In terms of prog I have to give credit to Porter and Sultan this year for really influencing my taste. Although coming from two very distinct (and different) camps, I can't imagine prog anymore without them. Cheers boys!

Stand Out Tracks:
Annie Lennox - Wonderful (Sander K Vocal Remix)
Andain - Beautiful Things (D&G Remix)
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes
Unkle - In A State (Original and Sasha Remix)
Zero - Emit
Kosheen - All In My Head (Planet Funk Remix)
Chris and Kai - Catch Me (Frozen in Time Vocal mix)
Talk Talk Vs Liquid People - Its my Life :p
DK8 - Murder was the Bass
Madoka - Altered

Best Nights Out
Oakenfold/ Seaman @ Turnmills (UK)
Max Graham Shine 2 - 3 @ System Soundbar
Fergie @ Frantic (the Fridge, UK)
PVD / Dish @ Guv
Timo Mass / Emerson @ The Cross (UK)

On a personal note, 2003 has been the most intense year of my life and I'm really anxious for to cool down in 2004. But let's keep the partying up to a maximum. Long live T.A.

i agree with you jon on G&D. that beautiful things remix is absolutely gorgeous...

i sort of agree on the sultan thing as well, but im finding a lot of his tracks are starting to sound the same, and i can see it getting boring.

it's been the year of vocals for me. i was never really into vocal tracks, but im really starting to like them now...over the last 5-6 months especially:

Insight - Prophecy (shiloh mix)
Astrolab - Come my way <---in sick!!
Seroya - Only your love <--goosebumps!
Robbie Rivera - Girlfriend

Best nights:
Tyrant @ Stereo - april 25 (one of my best nights out ever)
Saeed & Palash @ Breathe - oct 3 (the music was so dirty i had to take 2 showers when i got home! :D)

Cool Thread Jon!
(Prog Version)

Production
Although I have always had a weakness for Lexicon Ave. They haven't done a whole lot this past year so my award goes to Infusion. Their futuristic and techy sound is what I am into now. On the verge of progressive techno is what I will call it. ;) Check them out at System in a couple weeks.

Stand Out Tracks of the year:
Luke Chable - The Ride
The Idiots - Feel Da Rush
DK8 - Murder was the Bass (Danny Howells @ ARIA :eyes: )
Madoka - Altered

Best Nights Out
Donald Glaude vs Jelo (System 2003)
Max Graham Shine 1 (System 2003)
Danny Howells Double Header weekend (Aria and Toronto)
Sander K @ Stereo Rediency # 2 (Stereo - Montreal)

Well, here's my official review for the year, Cause I suck and only went to 2 shows

Productions
Armin was amazing in the guv on april 17. First time ever seeing him, and he brought the house down, Played for extra time, and ended with what I wanted ot hear, Communications.

Then Infected (08.02.03). Infected Mushroom. Holy . That's all I have to say, Never been to a better party, They honestly didn't allow me to stop dancing for like 5 hours, I.F. and Marc Oliver played the best sets I ever heard.

And of course, Marc Oliver, Your Awesome, you are a beacon of hope for all local talent, You are living proof that we can get out there and be the best.

Hopefully, come new years, I'll be able to add another review!:D
