Breathe Presents....
Friday November 21st
LUKE FAIR
Nobody else out there is playing music like him, nobody. Luke Fair has that magical quality of finding music hidden away in the darkest of unknowns and turning it into something incredible of his own. It’s dirty futuristic vocal music that sits nicely lost somewhere between the genres. His own productions are breaking boundaries and setting the worldwide dance scene on edge. Danny Howells and Deep Dish have both picked him as the DJ of the future to watch. John Digweed signed Luke’s first tracks without pausing. So don’t you think it’s about time you experienced what all the hype is about! Luke travels all over the world and we are very lucky to have him as our resident here at home. On Nov 21st come out and ride the Luke Fair train as he weaves 6 hours of amazing sound.

I haven't seen Luke Fair live yet. I've wanted to see him for a LONG time now. Some people I know were NOT impressed by his set(s) when he was at System last, but I enjoy his production work... and I also highly respect DD, Digweed and Howell's opinions of him as well.
What do you guys think?

Max, holy fawk read the post, you just copied and pasted the exact same thing already written. (unless it was edited in and I apologize)
Personally I didn't "get" Luke Fair until this year. He's (imo) a very aquired taste, but brilliant in his own right. I love his house sound and it's very original. He's tight on the mixing and is more than established (as you mentioned) as an incredible talent to watch out for.
He's also done Digweed's Kiss FM show at least twice (probably more) and each time Digweed has mentioned how much of a Canadian phenom Luke was. So in that aspect, I also think you (if you haven't already) should give him a chance. Canadia, what!
- "The Wish"
- Remix of "Family Affair" (Mary J Blige)
- Remix of MOMU
- Remix of "Tell You" (Max Graham)
- Remix of "Doin' Time" (Sublime)
Just some of my Luke favorites.
P.S Don't expect him to get any love from a trance msg board, imo he's as far away from trance as you can get. I although I thought he did an excellent job opening for Tiesto, the majority of people here (who were expecting breakdowns) will say it was . |
