Is Tiesto really that good.....what do you think about Tiesto?

I've heard a lot about Tiesto.I heard him live @ Docks, in Toronto, in march....his set wasn't that great. My bro says it was the sound that was terrible...ViceRoy was there...who I never heard of until then.....and from what I heard he shoulda been mainstage headlining...
I've also heard a few of Tiesto's recent sets...and they are bangin...
I've also heard that people think Tiesto is over-rated
what do you think? |

i think tiesto could conduct an extremely wild audience. ive never heard him live and should be considering so in future but from what ive heard on his recorded live sets, the longer ones seem better than the shorter ones. i think he just needs time to build but other than that there could be sets that dont really work well because of the record choice or something. almost every dj experiences that due to change or seeking new tastes.

| Tiesto is an amazing producer and DJ in my eyes. However, he seems to be playing the same songs in his sets as of lately. Yes, they're bangin sets but they don't differ from each other much. Overall, Tiesto is really that good.:D |

| I can say this without a doubt, Tiesto is really that good. The first time I saw him live was at the Tiesto solo in Utrecht, a great experience. After that I saw him at Innercity, Qontact and the last Wildlife and every time he had something new. OK, maybe he plays some records over and over, but he wouldn't do that if the people didn't like it. |

| I think Tiesto is the biggest DJ on earth........although he spins the same records in his livesets the last months, he should change that, when he starts spinning different songs in a liveset he's da man on top and no-one can bring him down from that |

| I've heavent had the experience to see Tiesto live yet, but from his livesets, his able to pull out some great energy and euphoria given to the crowd.. awesome !! and lately, like everyone has mentioned above, his been playing about the same records, thats about to change soon, it has to, maybe he hasent found those gooood records yet, who knows, his been very very busy, and that may be a problem for him, wonder why there hasent been any of is productions released lately. |

Thanks man! I greatly appreciate that....truely! Although I think Tiesto's set was mind blowing at the Docks...it had a lot to do with the fact that I was excited beyond belief to see him again, and for that matter, to play soon after he was done.

ive seen tiesto quite a lot since he signed as resident for crasher, he's only ever let me down once and that was the first time, since thenhe has been truly godly!! ive only heard play a similar set once and he really really knows how to get a crowd going!
every DJ has there bad days, every DJ plays a similar set every now and again. if the new realeases are he aint gonna play em is he?

I´ve never seen Tiesto live but i know songs from him and playing his live sets up and down. I think he´s a great producer and a good DJ. The only one who is better as DJ and produces is PVD. I´m heard him live @ LOVENATION (afterparty from the loveparade in vienna) and it was unbelievable.
And i think Tiesto isn´t over-rated, he is very good, or know anybody from you many DJs and producers who are better than Tiesto? |

First of all, Tiesto is a great producer and DJ. Being from the Netherlands, I've seen and heard a lot of him.
I actually only have one point of criticism, and that comes from his mix-cd's. After having heard his Summerbreeze, Magik, Forbidden Paradise and In Search of Sunrise cd's, they are starting to get a little boring. :sadgreen:
When I heard his song Flight 643 for the first time in a radio set on Radio 538, I thought what a nice dark song, and his cd 'Revolution' is a welcome variation.
Live, he's still fantastic, even though he's been playing the same songs for a while.
So yes, I'd say Tiesto is overall that good, just needs his downs to enjoy the ups better ;) |

I totally agree with Tiesto beeing a great producer and Dj.. I made lot of good songs and is RMX usually KICK ASS.. but I haven't heard from him for quite some time now.., except ofcourse his songs (urban train, flight 643..) and his RMX.. I heard that there was something wrong between him and ID&T .. don't know exactly what the problem was.. :( ..
