Here's a little bit of selfpromotion, once again.
This is a mix I threw together just right out out of the blue earlier today...I myself am very pleased with it (at least the first half) Your comments would be highly appreciated...

2. Gabriel & Dresden pres. Motorcycle - As the Rush comes [Sweeping Strings Remix]
3. The Matrix - Red Pill, Blue Pill [Junkie XL Remix]
4. Mauro Picotto & Ricky Effe - New Time, new place
5. Ron van den Beuken - Timeless [Ron van den Beuken Remix]
6. DJ Tiësto - Traffic
7. Fractal Vibe - C-Song [Dynamic Vibe Mix]
8. Marco V vs. Jens - Loops and Things [2003 Relooped]
9. Kay D Smith & Marc Tall - Passive Resistance [Hoipolloi Mix]
10. Jesper Dahlbäck & Thomas Krome (DK8) - Murder was the Bass [Reworked]

| Nice mixing at times, other times it's not so good ;) Keep up the good work though, I enjoyed it! |

i got a chance to hear your mix, here's my thoughts:
First of all, your tracklisting is very interesting and dynamic. It's varied but has an interesting flow. Good job with that ;)
Your first transition was excellent, very solid beatmatching...nice bit of mixing there :) Your change from ATRC to Red Pill Blue Pill was good except for when the two vocals got overlaid...if vocals clash like that they sort of jar me out of the mix. Your third transition is excellent too, great track choice :D The transform into Timeless isn't so great cause it just kind of melds in and seems to be slightly out of phrase (but maybe that's just me)...it probably would have helped to have some kind of big sweeping effect to come in to cover up the switch between basslines or something. The transition into Traffic is good, but there seem to be some level differences...again, maybe that's just me. Very nice job mixing C-Song into Loops & Things, definitely kept the energy goin...nice mix into Passive Resistance and Murder was the Bass.
Overall, pretty good mixing, pretty energetic too...some of the technical aspects could use some work but your track selections and mixing technique are pretty good for the most part. Keep up the good work mate! |
