I agree. I've never disliked the club, I just don't get why people hate it so much. |
i guess its not the hate, more likely how their experience was. i dont dislike the clubs also, but if you come to party and have to do all that , when you have come to enjoy it really makes you feel like . |

Corinne and I dropped by last night to check out and support DJ Mute :D
He played a wicked set, some driving progressive house and then some dirty tribal beats towards the later part of his set along with tight mixing throughout the set. The place was setup quite nicely as Nathalie pointed out in her post, and the free MOS Annual CD's were a nice bonus.
Unfortunately we didn't get to stay for Robbie Rivera because Corinne wasn't feeling too well and wanted to go home. Orignally we had planned to stay for a bit of Rivera's set then head over to System to see James Holden, but plans changed and we didn't get to see Holden either.
Anyways, it was great seeing Dan spin and seeing a few TA's as well. |

OK, first of all, I was not really in the mood when I was composing this message, and secondly, even as of now I haven't slept since yesterday morning, the friday morning. I had to go to work when I got back home to Hamilton, after the party, and now I am dead tired and I notice the MANY grammar and other mistakes I committed. I twisted my leg badly as well ... the entire experience was like a one HUGE nightmare, with the few exceptions ...
I apologize for making incorrect judgement on the first DJ, DJ Mute I believe - he was actually great, it's just by the time I got upstairs ... well, yeah ... sorry. I guess I didn't catch on to the tribal ... Sorry to anyone who I may have offended, but you know, don't tell me you think I made this entire story up. |

Following up to my above post before I go to sleep (FINALLY!) - I don't think the partygoers left sometime during Robbie Rivera's set because his set sucked or stuff like that. Personally, I didn't expect Robbie to drop some heavy house beats like the ones he did. Sure, it was great and his set rocked, but I guess if you take his new CD and hit single "Girlfriend" and fit it into this, some people might get the wrong impression or something like that ... if you know what I mean. Or maybe I am just totally wrong, maybe it's the venue ...

I would like to thank the DJs - Robbie Rivera, DJ Mute and Willie Morales for spinning their best (my friend was impressed!), Ministry Of Sound for sponsoring this ... event, Tatgirl, Skeletor and few other TAs who were at the party for everything ... It great with you all. And my friend Brian for hanging out with me all night and his first dance music nightclub experience - without y'all it would have been MUCH MUCH worse, beyond hell, experience ...

Well I'll start of by thanking all those that did manage to come out on friday, and sorry to hear about what happened to you Magnetonium, I wish you would've come to me to sort out that mess you were hit with.
Anyways, like Nat pointed out, the party had all elements there, the amazing music, the wicked vibe, great atmosphere, etc and except for the turnout, heh. It's a real shame that the talent that was showcased on friday went so very unnoticed in this city. I hope that the reporters from Much Music, Urban and Nocturnal magazines that were present at the club generate some positive feedback at least for Rivera and Morales, so as they a much better experience next time they come around. They would definitely deserve it, since they both played such amazing sets and both demonstrated such great personal character. I wish they had better luck in San Antonio last night. I know for sure that I'm looking forward to hearing them play again in the spring during the WMC in Miami.
Since Nat mentioned pretty much all I was going to say, I guess I'll leave off by saying that in the end it was nice meeting some new TA's there too and of course hanging out with the TOTA veterans, as usual. Glad you guys got copies of those MOS cds and I'll be seeing you again at System very soon.
