hah. dont worry i feel for ya.
there was this friend whom i had known since i was a kid. we chilled in the playgrounds and together then. he used to always ask me to buy him candies and icecreams. i was ok with it because i've been brought up in a way where u should cherish your friends. well we slowly grew up. he borrowed my car and crashed it into a lampost. there was no apology. all he did was laugh and say to me 'hey ur car handling in sucks man'. i had to call the tow service and pay for the repairs. 4 grand. i didn't think much of it then because i thought it was partly my fault too. in another incident. he told some ppl he owed money to that i owe him money. so they came gunning for me instead. luckily i was with my mates at that time so they just gave me a warning. i went up to my so called 'friend' and confronted him about it. he begged me to loan him money to repay his debts or they would break his legs. so i was like ok... wtf... make sure i get this back. 10k. the week after that he dissapeared. i hear he's been telling people stories about how 'I' crashed my car into a lampost and how 'HE' loaned me loads of money to save me that i have still to return him.
I SWEAR IF I EVER FIND OUT WHERE THAT ****** IS I WILL BREAK BOTH HIS ARMS AND HIS IN LEGS.:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: |
I'm sorry, but I must say you're like the most naive person I've "met". I mean, after he crashed your car without an apology you lend him 10k??? Are you retarded or something? I mean, it's really a lot of money, and he's already shown he doesn't care about your losses one bit!
Anyway, my answer to Karen is that as long as you treat other people better than you treat yourself, they're gonna see it and use it. |

It's the person who doesn't drink and then drives all the drunkards home afterwards... :)
It sound like you really need to stand up for yourself. Say what YOU want to do. I know it sounds nasty but you need to be more oppessive towards your friends, then they might finally stop taking you for granted. :) |

heh...they have been my long time friends, they are basically my brothers...i don't know, for some reason i get along with guys so well than girls...i've always been like this ever since i was a lil girl... i played with gi joes more than barbies, played sports with all of them etc etc.. i just can't stand girls sometimes...it too much drama and I HATE DRAMA UGH... for guys the less drama it is the better or even no drama at all. lol. i think the reason why ur guy friends are not as nice as my guy friends is coz you have a bf...i think they don't want to be too comfortable since you have a man...i think it's more of a respectful gesture rather than a rude one.:D |

I love my friends, but why is it that I ALWAYS have to make so many sacrifices?
-Why do I always have to be designated driver? (EVEN on my 21st birthday! How whack is that!?)
-I won a free trip to catch AVB in Vegas, free hotel, plane ride..etc.... and I brought my friend who didn't even buy me a DRINK when we went, I EVEN had to take my car to drive to the AIRPORT!
-I won passes again to check out this pretty nice party.. and I invited my close friend and she wont even drive me to go pick up the tickets (cuz they got "other stuff to do")
-I always end up having to take care of my friends cuz they get soooooo messed up, and guys will just take advantage of them left and right.
-I even get dragged to COUNTRY LINE DANCING CLUBS in the freaking boonies..yet this friend refuses to go to a trance club with me?!?
No matter what it is... I always take care of my friends..whether its buying them drinks and "party favors" or even making sacrifices..like being the "WING-GIRL" (yes there is such a thing as a "WING-GIRL")!!!
I know its my own damn fault for being so nice sometimes.. but damn!
Tell me there are some other people out there who are good friends and feel this way about their own friends...
or am I asking too much out of friendship? |
Being too nice will often do that...people tend to overly abuse...be in' morons....that is why I am what my custom status indicates. It's so hard to find good friends these days.
Oh and Karen, about the country line club thingy...if I had a friend like that, I'd put my boot so far up his/her ass, they'd need surgery to get the boot out. |

I'm sorry, seems like you're placed in a non favorable position. My advice would be to ditch the friends, and make an attempt at finding new ones.
I do, however, know exactly to the bone, how you feel. :( |

It's for this reason I don't keep many "friends". If you ask me, it's much more fulfilling to have 2-3 true friends than a large group of people who, realistically, don't even care about you.
It's a change in my lifestyle I decided to make about four years ago, and personally I think it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. It sounds to me like these people aren't really your friends at all. You need to look out for yourself first - and if someone is really your friend, they'll understand that.
Best Wishes,
