PvD in Chicago

There's been alot of discussion about PvD's Boston gig, but are any TAs going to the Chicago gig at the House of Blues? It's an incredible venue, and I'm pretty sure it stays open until 4 like most Chicago clubs, so Paul should be able to get in a pretty decent groove...

You like the HOB??? Too much of a simulated 'underground' feel to me (not to mention that it closes at 2am!). The place just seems fake compared to the Riv or the Vic, etc...

At least that's how it was when I saw Digweed there a few months ago. I'm looking forward to it, since he rarely gets around these parts, even if its short...;)

Any chance he'll head over to redno after house of blues and spin there u think? Digweed did that wen he came to chicago.

i can see what you mean by the simulated feel, but i think it's just because it's rather new. i agree that the vic is a pretty cool place, but i dig the balconies in the HOB. i didn't know that it closes at 2am - is that a hard and fast rule there? any chance PVD will play later than 2?

What day of the week is it that he's spinning? I was thinking about coming over from MI, but if I remember correctly, it seems like he's spinning on a Thursday.

it is a thursday, which is kind of unfortunate. also, i just saw the flyer for the gig, and it is billed as going from 8:00-2:00am ... what a rip off. i was thinking until 4am or so. i guess if PvD comes on around 10:00 or so we can still get about four hours, but who knows?
