Listening at the moment - HOW IN BLUE BALL HEAVENS DID I MISS THIS THREAD! I must be blind! :whip:
This is one of my favorite songs that got me into deeper trance. Here it goes.
The percussion in the beginning is nice! The kicks are nice, hard, and crisp (not too hard, but good enough). The first few synths sound AMAZING! When those 'reso' sounding strings start coming in, WOW! DUDE! I was surprised! PRO-FESS-IONAL!
WOW! Those light breaks were pretty cool, and interesting. Added a bit of depth to that that break down. Glad you took em off when those other synth layers came in. :tongue2 WOW! The break down sounded really pretty afterwards, and it was really respectable!
The blend of pianos with the song was very classy too. This track was classy to begin with, and I like the ideas you put into it!
I think your producing skills are up there man! Very technical, very skilled, and very experienced. I expect to hear much from you in the future! Don't ever stop! You add some versatility (and great honest feedback) on these boards. -Mental |

Thanks.
It seems that the more I advance technically the less I seem to have inspiration... hence I keep doing remixes instead of originals. |

| Same thing happens to me. Everytime I advance a few more notches, I feel that I did a lot of work, and I get no inspiration to make another song. Therefore I usually take a break for a few weeks. Just keep up the good work! -Mental |

great!
u've just made a beautiful remix of my all time favourite tune!
just wondering, did u take parts from Mark Moon's mix of the original tune?
coz the melody sounds exactly the same as the melody in that mix.
great job mate! ;) |

Nah, I didn't - I just took the midi of the main melody and did the strings and piano based on that.
Thanks for listening :) |

well IMO, it takes more skill to make a remix then to make your own tune anyways... I mean everyone here already knows this tune and has certain expectations right? To pull this off with such a renowned track as this says I'm beyond making my own tunes - look at me I can even mess with the best! To do something this good smacks of talent.
good job man :) |

Yeah, but when you're remixing you don't have to come up with the melody... |

| yeah...but have you noticed the melody lines in trance...they're really a joke in so far as being like ONE LINE repeated. |

| Nope, can't agree with that. |
