Okay man, I'm giving it a listen. Sounds like you;ve gone for techno rather than trance with this one. I'm still waiting for the melody, so I take its techno. You're percussion work is quite good but you make the same mistake you made in your XTC track. If you want to put hihats/cymbols in the kick, you got to make sure there is enough energy in the track. Otherwise putting the snare/cymbol/hi-hat on the kick gives that "stomping" feal rather than an energetic motion.
Okay, here comes the melody. A bit cheesy for me mate. Very hard house type melody. Not my catch of the day, works for some people though. |

Yeah sounds a little stompy... Maybe lower the vol of the hat a bit, so you can barely notice it, but it still adds effect. Good synths and perc... this is kind of like a balls-out party track, like the kind that people just want to scream to, so lack of melody isn't all that bad heehee. Keep it up.
EDIT: oh yeah wanted to say also that for the balls-out party tracks like this, it helps to add a sample of the crowd screaming, so you kind of accentuate the feel of the song as being a, "hey everybody its time to scream and be crazy" one. |

| The percussion in the beginning needs a little work.. sounds descent though.. another cool transition at 1:22 (like u did in XTC) the hi at 1:55 definitly needs to be on the off beat though.. I agree with the last two posts.. cool synth used for the melody.. don't really like the melody though not enough variation in it.. not to bad though man.. this is definitly better then XTC.. |
