couldn't make it out unfortunately...

anybody go? How was it!?

i ended up seeing Dave Ralph @ Pure in Milwaukee instead... wasn't feeling like making the drive down in the rain, plus it seems like all the people that i talked to about going also ended up not going... *shrug* i had fun anyway, Dave Ralph played a good set, even though the place was empty as hell.

I went!

I got up there at about 11:30 to make sure I would see Marco V if he came on second. He was slated from 2:30 to close and Fergie came on at 12:30. I saw Aaron(sti3) come in and we chatted and drank before Fergie.

Fergie was banging the whole 2 hours he played. Techno, hardhouse, whatever. He was just HARD! I was pleasantly surprised too. I'd never heard anything by him before, so I was going in kinda blind. Didnt know many tracks at all. I think the second to last one was DK8 - Murder Was the Bass. And some Filterheadz song.

Marco V came on and was starting really slow. I got bored quick because of how Fergie was playing, but he changed things around real quick. He started to bang out some great tunes over the last 1.5 hours of his set. Overall he played an awesome set. Just what you would expect from him.
Some tracks me and Aaron came up with from Marco were Picotto-Back to Cali(Push remix), Egyptian empire-The horn track (Luke Slater's Khufu remix), Nirvana vs. Freeland-Smells Like Teen Spirit. His first encore song was C:\del*.mp3:D

Theres more and hopefully Aaron can remember some of em.
And Aaron, sorry if you thought I ditched ya at the end. I was walking towards the doors and looked back and didnt see ya talking to that dude anymore, and wondered where ya went. I stepped outside for a few, didnt see ya and then just took off.

Where was everyone else at?!?! Sucks nobody else could make it

sorry I couldn't make it Tom...
between the weather and still being sick from last weekend I decided to chill in, save some cash, and heal. Well I'm just as sick as yesterday... so I guess I shoulda gone to this :)

damn... and I gotta move next weekend, so I don't think I can make infusion/roger sanchez, which I really wanted to go to!

but I am glad to hear he dropped egyptian empire - the horn track (luke slater's khufu rmx) :D

No I don't remember any other tracks really, because I was f*&ked up by the end, and did some, er, stuff later that rendered the night a blur. I met up with someone on the train that brought me to a "party" so I didn't get home until 8 or so. Oooiiiii.

But Marco v. was great. He did start out a little boring but it kept getting better and better. There were some new tracks he played towards the end that were just stormin'.

I thought it was one of the best shows I've been to--maybe partly because the crowd wasn't that huge so I didn't have any meatheads bumping into me.

I can't wait to hear the next In Charge show and hopefully get some IDs for the tracks he played.

Fergie was f'in awesome. Holy mother of bangin'!!!! First time I've felt like I was in London while here in Chicago. I had a blast. Marco was good, too, make no mistake, but for me, Fergie stole the show...

Nice ...... Marco V is coming by Ontario in December, and since everyone giving him great reviews, I am coming to a Dec 13 gig in Toronto for sure .... i know it will not be as awfully shockingly empty like the Dave Ralph one [mentioned above].!
