Damn this sucks so hard. She was so insanely in love for me.
I was addicted to her as well... then why did I?
She, my latino princess, lives in Ecuador. Mixing her culture and mine resulted in a major clash. You see in order for her to be accepted as having a boyfriend, without being stamped out as "USED TRASH", we needed to get married.
She really wanted this, however I didn't. Can you imagine getting married when you're 20 years old? No matter how good the girl is, I'd give it serious doubts.
Now, why am I writing this at all? I guess if someone cared to answer to this, I'd be grateful:
Would you have dumped her? It doesn't matter, I just did, but anyways, here I go... |
arent you from norway? was this a cyber love? |

No seriously I hanged out with some latino people in my town when I met her.
She was an exchange student here... And stupid me fell in love for her. |

true... internet relationships can be very different than in person. |

I'm a girl.. but if I were you.. I wouldn't have dumped her.
Like you said yourself, you are young. I would continue to be with her and cherish every moment you are together, and when the time comes that she finally says either marry me or we won't be together, then that is the sign that the relationship is over.
You always wanna try your best until the very end(but not to a point where it hurts both of you so much)because at leaset you know you gave it your 100%, instead of just bailing out. Because then sometimes you'll always ask yourself "what if..." and "what if"s always suck!
*And just out of curiousity, maybe her parents wanted you to marry her for citizenship reasons? Hey its a possibility. |

COME ON!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
I was being ironic against mr muzik(who loves to play around and make people angry in these forums) here... OF COURSE I was together with her... We were inseparable (until I had to leave because of that damn ing culture getting suspicious about why I was staying in her house when we weren't married)...
ICQ-meet-a-friend, lol, I thought everyone got that.
No!No!No!

The point is that we're not, because she's in Ecuador and I'm here (Norway :) )... So I would have to travel back and forth using 2000$ planetickets each trip. Can you imagine that?

I never really wanted to think that thought. Of course it makes
perfect sense, however I choose to think that I wasn't being abused...

| This story reminds me of a thread here on TA where a Norwegian TA wrote about how he met an American exchange student in Norway, fell in love with her and finally moved to NYC to live with her. |

That was me :)
But as it turned out, I had to marry her, I had no idea of that I had to do that then (she didn't tell me until later) when I posted it...
So here I am. In the blistering cold (yesterday we had -15C i my city).
She's over there, and it didn't turn out so great, just as someone predicted then, in that thread ... :)
This really sucks, and I guess I should be happy it's all over... |
