Nice interview. Thanks.

The part about their views on mp3's was probably the most interesting to me, as it's a topic that is rather hot at the moment. I don't give a what other people say about whether I should download mp3's or not, but hearing an actual successful artist's view is intriging.

Personally, I hate mp3s, it’s a terrible format. If you spend tens of thousands of pounds on a studio to get pristine audio that’s just glorious, with the high ends shimmering, and you crunch it down to some 4MB file its just like “what a waste of time.” We might as well just go back and do everything on a laptop or something.

he's so right... hybrid's violins and etc. sound just so much better in CD quality on a good system.... that goes for everything, and that's how it's supposed to sound!

Sorry to burst your "lossless audio cd is audibly superior" bubble but, well, they aren't. At least not if something is encoded properly. alt preset standard lame encodes are so good that in blind tests that nearly nobody can tell the difference. Spectral analysers will tell you that raw wav data pisses all over mp3 as far as accuracy. And that is true.. but what the ear doesn't hear it cannot really discriminate against. Im inclined to say that your speakers, connections, and output card are the weaker links in your system than the file format...

*edit* before anyone says anything, yes i realize that cd audio isn't really lossless either.. who needs 96khz 24 bit audio though (which technically isn't lossless either ^^).. Digital audio is inherently somewhat lossy....

Nice!! Thanks for the interview, I saw em about a week after you did in Denver, and they were in unbelievable. It was only a dj set, but it was still so great!! Mike and Chris are the nicest guys, I spoke to and had a drink with Chris while Mike was spinning, and when they switched I talked to Mike. I told him how much their music means to me and other people around the world and to keep it up, he said "If you like that, just wait til you see what we put out next year!" Eagerly anticipating that! Got all of their autographs except for Adam's on my True to Form LP jacket. I can't wait to see em again!:D
