IMO, i would go with whatever gets you the most money. Then on the side, you can do what you love to do as a hobby. |
EXACTLY what I think most of the time, and my dad agrees. Here's a little factoid:
My dad is a pretty damn practical, logical, realistic guy. And on top of that, he's a doctor (not showing off here, but it's part of my point). So basically, he influences me in the logical "make money" way indirectly. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't pressure me at all, he lets me free to make my own choices, but his advice is usually more logical than "follow your heart" kinda thing.
My mom on the other hand is an artist, so she's basically the opposite of my dad, and generally gives me the opposite advice.
So I have these 2 conflicting personality type genes or whatever battling withing me, lol. It's cool too because I've sorta gotten the best of both worlds, in the sense that I can do really well in science and maths and such (thanks to my pops lol), but I also have lots of artistic tendencies (thanks to my ma' haha). So it's just really pissing me off at the same time, cuz I could go either way and just, bleh, you get the idea... |

As long as she doesn't get pissed at me for not earning enough bread - because that's when the sex stops!!!!!!! :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |

Your dad's a doc, nice! ;)
I would go with your dad's advice. I should have listened to my dad and went to business school, instead i listened to mom: "do whatever you like to do" and went into biology.
meh, well im tired to bio science, i wish i did business.
So anyways, do you think science has any money? |

Yea, but your advice SUCKED!!! no, just joking, your advice was awesome :), but you don't expect me to base my life's decision on a 1 hour MSN discussion, do you? No matter how enriching it was, I gotta seek some more.
So don't get me wrong, I WAS listening that night, and really appreciated it. |

Hell yes, if you get into the right field (not 'right' as in dexter, I mean 'right' as in 'correct', lol - sounded like a baseball diamond thing). |

Hahahahaa, just checking if I had to post my advice yet again! :D I suppose I shall just for the sake of it.
Do what's in your heart. You will lead a fuller and richer life from it. |

i have no idea about the film industry, but isn't there a way u can follow both yer heart and yer head. i mean, get a reliable decent job within the film industry, that is related to yer dream. that way u have yer back-up, plus yer foot in the door, and extra training.
as i said, i really don't have much of a clue what i am talkin about:conf: , but that seems like a good way to solve the problem |

I want to make films, not be a camera guy kinda thing, if you know what I mean. But I do know what you're trying to say : the whole 'do both at once' and 'backup' ideas... Don't worry about not knowing what you're talking about (I'm like that half the time), thanks for the input I appreciate it. |
