Need ideas (logo + software)

Hey guys, I am trying to put together a logo animation of the logo below. If u don't know what I mean, go watch the logos at the beginning of movies (ie Universal logo, Paramount logo, Jerry Bruckheimer, etc, etc.)
Probably not that complicated tho. Something simple but... cool.
Also, what software should I do this with? I made a few attempts with Flash, but exporting to .avi wielded unsatisfactory results.

| depends on your skillz if your elite then id use 3d studio max or bryce, if you an amature then id use Animation Shop By jasc. |

| Adobe products are good try photoshop, imageready, after effects, and livemotion takes a while to learn how to use i still havent perfected livemotion. if you do try any of these check our www.adobe.com they have some tips and tutorials that will be usefull. |
