I find it utterly disgraceful that Hillary Clinton is travelling to the middle-east over the holidays to give a little howdy-doody to our troops, whom she has been openly comtemptuous of on many occasions in the past. Can anyone say vote buying? A smarmy move indeed. I hope she gets booed back to the states, as I don't think the Marines and other armed servicemen have an ounce of respect for that scheming bitch.:whip: :whip: :whip:

Hillary's a cold calculating bitch, no doubt. But...

Pardon me, Shakka, but where the do you get your opinions from? You think Hillary holds contempt for the troops? How ing ludicrus is that? You think anyone in their right minds, Democrat OR Rebublican, holds contempt for men and women who service their country in the armed forces? Where the do you get this?

She most certainly holds contempt for WHO put our men and women over there, and the fallacious reasons for why we are there in the first place. But certainly not for the men and women who put their lives on the line for their country - unless I'm completely missing something here. There is a considerable difference, and I think it's absolutely outrageous that you think because of her political differences with our King President that she would hold contempt for our King's foot soldiers.

Seriously, don't you think that's a little over the line, even for anyone (including Hillary)?

While her husband was in the White House, Hillary used Marines in dress blues to circulate around her parties carrying trays of munchies. Hillary's White House staffers would openly insult anyone in uniform, telling them that "we don't talk to people wearing military uniforms."

Maybe you're going to tell me it was more the White House staffers who were openly contemtuous--fair enough, but I lump her with the whole group.

Not to mention how insulting it must be to someone in uniform with more honor in his pinky than in her whole pink agenda, to be stuck working the h'oers d'ouvres trays for someone with no respect for you.

I guess we'll just see what kind of reception she gets over there. In the very least, she could give 2 s less about our servicemen over there. She's about as two-faced as any politician in Washington.

This has nothing to do with Bush, it's purely a Hillary issue.

i could have swore Hillary has more than two faces... odd:conf:

Alright, what book was that in? I know I heard that somewhere.

Yes, she's 2-faced. Yes, she's a bitch. So what? Much of the same could be said of Barbara Bush. In fact, much HAS been said of BB.

But I still fail to see how anyone could hold contempt for the people serving in the armed services, for people who do the dirty work to defend our country (not necessarily in Iraq2, but in other wars). I'm just pretty skeptical of the attitude that anyone, let alone a politician, would hold contempt for the people serving in a war. That's just damn outlandish.

Hey, speaking of Outland, anyone catch the new Opus cartoon? Me so happy.
Shakka
Not to split hairs, but maybe it's better to say contempt for the organization rather than the individuals, however in my opinion the marines are The Marines. (So goes with the other service organizations). An insult to the organization is an insult to the individuals who comprise said organization.

I've never seen Outland. What is it, what channel, what time? My first love in animated series will always be Family Guy.

Sorry, should have clarified - Berkley Breathed's Outland is a comic/cartoon in the newspaper funnies section. It was originally called Bloom County, then it changed to Outland. Breathed took a 10 yr. hiatus and started the comic back up last Sunday, and it's now called Opus.

As you might have guessed, I'm a little bit of a fan. :D

Oh! Duh! I'm very familliar with Bloom County. I should've just taken a gander at your Av and put 2 and 2 together. I used to be a big fan myself, but lost touch with the funnies. Glad it's back.:toocool:

I hate hillary clinton, and badmouthing the marines regardless of where there serving or what there doing is a disgrace.

Actually its not outlandish. After the Vietnam war when the remaining soldiers returned they were often booed , spit on, etc.

Those troops are responcible for choosing to join a military that would go into such wars. They are not merely defending their country.

That being said, it could very easily be argued that it is not their fault, for it is their conditioning that makes them believe their actions are reasonable or just.

Except for the fact that most of the people who served in Vietnam were drafted I see your point. Besides if you join the service with the idea of protecting your country and they go and fight a war your not ok with theres probably not much you can do.
