Sorry if this might be old news, but I just went down there today and saw that there is nothimg left of the store. Talked to a guy that used to work there, he said they still might consider doing an online store, but will no longer have a retail one. Pretty sad, cuz this was my favorite of the few record stores in nyc. Guess I have to go back to Satellite now.

Any other shops in the same calibur as Eight Ball and Satellite (in the city that is) ?

I know a few in LI and Jersey, but thats a little out of my reach.

Konijn Island
Rebel Rebel on Bleeker
Sonic Groove on Carmine off of Bleeker
Vinyl Market in the East Village

while not on par with Satellite, they're solid shops for EDM

(hopefully they're still open as I haven't visited them in ages...)
