In terms of which ones to get...get Ima, ESCM, and Movement In Still Life(Import version if you can find it).

IMO it's hard to say which one's best but if I had to I'd say ESCM is.

And also don't even bother getting BT's new one, it's a dissapointment after hearing what he's done in the past.

I'd say the USA version is better.
iirc it's the one with Lullaby for Gaia

Hmmm...only heard ESCM and Movement, and they are both damn good albums. Can't really decide...

"Classic" BT is ESCM, which has Flaming June, Lullaby For Gaia and Remember. It's the dreamiest, most epic of his work.
Movement In Still Life is a great CD. The US version has a bit more hip-hop/rock influence in it, but it still has the amazing tracks Dreaming, Godspeed, and Mercury & Solace. The UK version has Fibonacci Sequence, Giving Up The Ghost, and Namistai (the UK also has the god-awful Ride, but we'll try to forget that).

If you aren't familiar with BT, start with ESCM, then get MISL.

10 Years in The Life (2CD) is pretty cool. It has Remember, Lullaby, Dreaming and some rare tracks (mixed though) on second CD.

Another cool double CD is Rare & Unreleased.

Movement in still life is very good in my opinion. I have yet to hear ESCM, so I'm going to say at this Moment MISL is my favorite
