WMI problem

| i have a problem on my comp that says "WMI has encountered a problem and needs to close" it pops up every few minutes and really pees me off what is it and how do can i fix it, stop it from popping up at least?? |

| try turning off the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) in your services (control panel -> administrative tools -> services) and then turning it back on. |

Hey, Everyone with this WMI Problem!!!
Ive got good and bad news.
Bad news: Most likely you have a virus... Don't panic, its not as bad as it sounds. Its called the Pate.b.worm virus. I was having the same error messages on my computer.
Good news: Ill make it VERY simple for you. Go to:
http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=stinger
and download this program. (*STINGER*) Its small... Run the program and let it do its magic. Restart your computer and see if you still have the message. Or just do what I did and get McAfee Virus scan Software. It found some traces of the virus that stinger didn't... Norton should be just as good.
