yo dj woody,
what kind of music are you guys gonna be playing.....i've heard alex dreamz before, and he played mostly like club anthem type stuff, and unfortunately, i've never heard u spin...but i know u spin a little bit of everything...haven't heard of the other two people...
me and a few friends might drop by..
just a quick question....how come u guys picked a sunday night? just curious... |

Did you go to Ministry of Sound last night? If you did, you could've heard all of the Mixshow DJ's play except me!!! LMAO.. I was too drunk.... lmao.... This is what they played last night.... Alex Dreamz... he did a Bad Boy Bill type of set. Some scratching and lots of house. Dr. X played a good sexy latin house set with lots of percussions. Johnny Kix, he played hard trance. And I, well let's just say I was too drunk and I was dancing with Sexy Persian and Suzy all night long... LOL... But you're right, I do play a little bit of everything. Tomorrow I might play some trance a la Armin Van Buueren with a little bit of techno a la Mauro Picotto. But if worse comes to worse, I'll play some hip hop. I mean, I gotta be fair... last time we did a free party the people wanted hip hop. So we'll see how that goes.
Oh, an as to why we're doing it on a sunday.... Easy, that was the only day we could get the venue. So yeah, try to stop by if you can.... See ya there...

sweet man, i might drop by if my stupid homework doesn't keep me for long.....
i remember alex dreamz from like 3 years ago, when i first bought one of his cds........soundz of tomorrow if i remember correctly...from this cd booth outside the edwards 26 in the long beach towne center....that was one of the first cds to get me into trance...
newayz, good luck for tomorrow night man, i'll stop by if i get a chance to.

lol... yeah that's him... Dude... you gotta read the credits on that CD... read them... :haha: ... If you read do, I use these aliases... DJ Woody, Jesse Alexander, Jesse Martinez and Rewind Online. The little green logo that says REWIND, was one of my alias back then :haha: ... I did some production on that CD with his intro, outro, crowds, voices, and more. :haha: ... Ha!!! I even took the pictures of him with all those records.... :haha: ...
Alex is a cool guy and excellent mixer. You defenitely gotta hear him mix live. Here's a link to a mix he did for U92.7 FM in Palm Spring this past September.

i even talked to him online a couple of times.....if i remember right he lives in orange and used to play at this one club that got closed down....lol, i doubt he remembers me...we'll see tonight...
is everybody that's spinning tonight from a crew of yours? or just some djs/friends u know, it looks like i should be able to stop by...

why the hell can't orange county and la county get a station that plays good trance/techno and actually have some live mixing...
the closest thing we have is freakin' DJ TONY B on 103.1 KDL from 9-10pm weeknights, he's ok but he's all over the place and plays mostly top 40 from KDL. the other alternative is listening to JASON BENTLEY from KCRW on 89.9 from 7:30-10pm on most weeknights, but that's hardly club music, it's a lot of chill ambient mixing, with some good club music thrown in at the end...the last hour is usually a little bit harder and more dancy.
we need to start a good trance station here!!! Who's with me???!!!??? |
