SUNEEL: (revival, nyc)
Suneel began his electronic music journey in the mid 90's when he decided to buy a copy of Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure album. He was immediately inspired by the brilliance of the music as well as the preciseness of the mixing, and became an avid listener and learner. During his days off from pursuing a career in medicine, Suneel would visit the legendary club Twilo, and considered it not just a club, but a place of education. After a few years of being a student ofhe music, Suneel bought his first turns and mixer, and it didn't take long for Suneel to be
invited to spin at various lounges and clubs in NY, including Leopard lounge, Velvet Lounge and Guernica.
Today, Suneel is a full-time medical student but continues to spin at various venues only because of his true passion for the music. He hopes to concentrate more on his own artist productions in the upcoming year under his alias VegaSun, and is in the works of starting his own music label that will focus on "progressive house with a trancey twist."
LASIX: (homegrown,nyc)
Driven by a deep passion for music, Lasix played his first gig in Long Island, NY to 600 people only 4 months after jumping on the decks. Since then, he has gone on to play in many New York City lounges and clubs including Sullivan Room, Groovejet, Filter 14, the Brooklyn Loft, Open Air, Guernica, Idlewild, Galapagos, Halcyon, and Leopard Lounge. Never one to be pigeonholed, any set you hear out of him will cover a variety of tech-styles, complete with an array of mixing techniques and a heavy emphasis on track selection.
Lasix has played events alongside performers such as The Advent, Danilo Vigorito, Function, Tomas Jirku, James Bem (of Astroglyde), Agent Orange, Peter Anthony, Plexus, DJ Divine, Dennis Rodgers, Myth I-S, Knowledge, Swingsett, and Jo-S. In addition to his current residency at Homegrown, he also held down three residencies on Long Island between 2000 and 2002. Recent gigs at New York's most respected techno night, Tronic Treatment, show he's not afraid to step up in prime time.
