Scumfrog - a quick review

I was at Scumfrog last night with my brother and sister. Crobar is a lot smaller than I expected. I also wasn't aware of the $700 minimum table service :o
Aside from that, the club was pretty good. It was 3/4 crowded. Scumfrog came on at 12:30 and played till close - 3:30. He played his set with his trademark "rolling thunder" sound. I knew some of the tracks but I didn't remember their names :/ He played well - not amazing - but very good.
Other interesting things to note. The girl/guy ratio was favorable to the guys. I don't think I've been to a club where it seems to have more women in a long long long time. (mmmmmm....) People were friendly overall. They were doing a Chivas Regal promotion all night long so you could get free Chivas mixed drinks. Maybe this was why the ratio was as it was ;)
I grew up in Chi-town but I live on the east coast now. It was neat to party as an adult in my home town. Now I'm headed to NYC to see Hybrid! ;) Hope someone good (trance/house/breaks) plays Chicago for Christmas. Later! |

hahaha note to self...
stay away from upstairs :) it just get's more and more expensive :P
IIRC, I think that's where 3 shots of jager cost me like $27... |
