When you're listening to trance mixes on winamp, what eq setting to you use?
Personally I use "Live", sounds the best to me.

I find that the winamp eq has some shader action in the sound quality department. I usually leave it alone and mess with my sound cards' levels if need be. peace.

i think customized settings are better. you have to look at your system actually. people have different speakers, different soundcards. etc. i put more treble and sharpness for my speaks as i have a 8 inch subwoofer to compensate.

Cyrus, exactly ... EQ settings are supposed to be set according to your personal taste and the equipment you are using. So just mess around with it and set it so that it sounds good to you on your own system. And also the same EQ settings will not work equally good with all MP3s ... that's why you can actually adjust it yourself instead of merely using presets.

Don't always trust on Winamp. I use fot example Jukebox from MusicMatch. Very good one and easy to find the right sound for surtain mixes.
