Well, I didn't get a chance to see them up close when I was there, but from the pics that LKD took, it seems they had the following to work with:
Nord Lead (Keyboard with nice LFOs and knobs to mess with the sound in real-time)
Akai MPC Sampler - has square pads where they can trigger any sound/sample they have programmed..
Tonnes of Effects (eg. A yamaha guitar pedal hooked up through a little mini-mixer on top of the Nord Lead, probably some more stuff in rack-mounts that we can't see
Mixing Console - (to pump all the audio from the rest of the gear through)
Laptop - Probably with either sequencing software (like Cubase or Logic) or maybe using Ableton Live or Propellerheads Reason (Just guessing; there could be many other options)
.. and obviously live vocals...
All this combined and orchestrated to provide live dynamic music. I don't know any of Infusion's tracks (I will have to find their music) so I don't know if what they were playing that night was pre-fabricated or composed on the spot.

All in all, a wicked set -- I so wanna do that some day :) (Anyone interested in starting one up with me? :) )

I have no idea as to what knowledge anyone else on the board has pertaining to hardware, but imo you just became the TOTA resident expert on it. |
