Alrightie thens, I would assume that ever since we discovered TA, our TV consumption has declined dramatically. Ahhh those were the days in our youths where we would spend endless hours in front the tele, sucking in every piece of pop-culture propaganda into our ever-so energetic eyes.

Sooooo... please state which particular programs, shows, documentaries, etc that we should look out for and have the strength to watch.

My selection for this weeks viewing pleasure:

[04/12/03] SBS: 10:30pm "2002"
"2002 is a specialised unit in the Hong Kong Police force which only deals with cases of extreme intrigue, the supernatural or both. A lone officer (Yau Kwong Chiu), who is not only able to see the restless spirits that cause havoc in society but also does battle and neutralise them, heads the police unit. Directed by Wilson Yip and stars Nicholas Tse, Stephen Fung and Law Ka Ying. (From Hong Kong, in Cantonese, English subtitles)"

[07/12/03] SBS: 10:30am MUSIC SPECIAL - HARMONIES OF THE HEMISPHERES
"When 650 performers from around the globe, including the SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra, combine for an international festival, the only common language is that of music. The Japan International Youth Musicale is gaining a reputation for bringing the most varied and exciting talent from all parts of the world. (An SBS-TV production, in English, Japanese, Czech and Italian, English subtitles)"

AND THE ONE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR:

[03/12/03] TEN: 8:30pm The Guardian (season return)
Hehe Is anyone else a Guardian-addict here? At first it did'nt really appeal to me, but as the story progress, I was like woah, I can totally relate to this guy.
The quiet but blunt Nick [Simon Baker] is always under alot of . Problems galore this dude has! Yet he tries to be calm about it by keeping everything inside and the fact that no one realises how much stress they put him doesnt make things any better either.
Anyways, the last season ended in a cliffhanger and I can't wait for tomorrow night's 2 hour return. TUNE IN !!!

P.S. "Lulu" is cute! :toothless

DJ_Ballistic
yeah the guardian is pretty cool, made me want to become a smacked up business law grad.

I thought Lulu was dead?? Mind you, I've never watched the show, only seen the ads and stuff...

I'm not a television person, I watch very little of it compared to most people. I don't really have any shows that I make an effort to watch, but the only shows I can really stand watching are: The Simpsons (though they're pretty much all repeats these days), ABC News (none of this commercial e thank you very much), Media Watch, and CNNNN.

Hahaha nah, that was just channel TEN's marketing department trying to make the episodes all emotional and stuff. Lulu is still alive though she looked better with longer hair. :P

Indeed, I too am not really a television person: The Guardian, Frasier, Senfield, Simpsons, South Park, and fine arts/musical documentaries are the only things I watch. The docu's and the Guardian are the only ones I watch religously. :D
waXology
CSI and CSI Miami are finished for the year so now tv is boring!
S_madis
nothing really appeals to me on TV either. Seinfeld was the absolute bomb, but ever since its demise, there has been nothing that really captures my attention.

Two words: South Park

Last night was a Queer eye for a straight guy parody, where it turned out that they were actually crap people disguised as gay men. Class

My favourite TV shows at the moment:

Survivor [9]
English Premier League [Fox Sports]
Simpsons [Fox 8 /10]
Neighbours [10] - Izzy, Delta - what more could you ask for? don't
get me started on Harold and his cheek wobbling....
Also there is a new, very hot 'Italian' girl on the
show who might become a love interest for Connor.
The Bill [ABC]
The World Game [SBS] - Soccer show
Punk'd [MTV]
Elimidate [Arena]
Price is Right [9]

I was loving Queer Eye For The Straight Guy......too bad first season finished on Monday nite :( :(

I'm more of a doco person....but the occasional 'regular' kinda show catches my attention, like Queer Eye did - I can't remember the last time a tv show has managed to make me laff out loud when I'm alone in the room like that......so many classic one-liners!!

I'm deathly afraid of how e the Aussie version is gonna be tho.....dunno why they're even bothering
