Also, check out Danon TT's, I think it's D-150 - direct drive and as close to Technics as you can get on this side of $150 per deck.

But... technical question... is pair of turntables really considered a single gift or double gift?

p.s. maybe your mom is intentionally "time stretching", so that she can beatmatch your gift to the holiday season, without trainwrecking her budget... :D

Just a thought...

Cool, Oxford Valley Guitar Center is about 10 minutes away from me. Where do you live mate ?

challenging... I was faced with the same dillema... shell out $120 grand for 1 bedroom condo in center city or same cash for 2-bedroom townhouse in an upscale suburb... that was 3 years ago... My townhouse appreciated to sell at sweet $190K... meanwhile, the condo in center city appreciated to heart-breaking, ass-kicking, head-against-the-wall-bashing, super-cool $230K....

sucks... no? There goes my 2nd wish - a new car.. vrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooom.... :(

I live in the suburbs now(NJ Side) but a house is too much room right now and I dont feel like dealing with a fixer-upper. Condos work well for me for that matter and since I travel a ton I dont have as much upkeep or things to deal with that I would with a house

I'll be eating dinner in Olde City tonight. My friend owns the italian restaurant on market between front & 2nd called Dipalma's then we are off to Tribecca for their tuesday night fights :)

I am always in this area as this is my usual stomping grounds

120k??? damn you missed out...

My father and I own a strip of apartment buildings near the art museum. I wouldn't live in them but they pay the mortgages for us hehe. I dont want to live in center city because I'm not too keen on paying the city wage tax. Living in jersey I don't have to

well, i guess the choice comes down to whether you'll look cooler driving a car or having decks + extra cash.

since my car's clutch is ed, and i barely got back to school from thanksgiving break alive, money towards a new clutch has been bumped to the top of the list this year. i can't wait to have that fixed. nothing feels better than a smooth-running, reliable car...
