actually Shawn if u want my honest opinion, i think u should just forget about it. Remember that i do live in scarborough and well.. it's is a very good place for such music to rise and become very popular. I see 13 year olds blasting CDs to artists they don't even know just cuz they saw the music video on BET or MuchMusic. I see thugs, i see teenagers, i see regular ppl, bussiness men in suits.. and i hear their headphones blasting various hiphop and RnB.

does it bother me that so many ppl listen to it? no
does it make a difference if they listened to anything else? not likely
does it make me feel any better if they listened to anything other than top40/hiphop/rnb? i wouldn't think so

MY POINT IS: what difference does it make if they listened to anything else?
all i know is my favourite record shop sells electronic music, i know where to find it in Toronto, i know the ppl that listen to it, i'm exposed to the scene that welcomes such music and i know my speakers never play anything other than electronic dance music.

AND if all goes bad, the scene flops cuz of some government action, or if my fav record shop goes bankrupt, or a combination of all the above, it wont change the fact that i still have access to it.

LET THE PPL WHO WANT TO LISTEN, LISTEN. Music is not the issue. It's the relization that we have to respect everyone's taste of music regardless. As long as u don't go around bragging about listening to a certain type of music, u wouldn't see alotta ignorant atitude.
