| When I was clubbing in Bombay years ago, I'm talking about 95 and later...rave/psy/goa was huge, good to hear that house music is the order of the day. I would have killed to see Sasha spin even back then. Clubbing was always such fun in the city :) |

lol yea clubbing was fun till like a two years back .... now its 2 bad.. i mean the sort of crowd that a club has today is badd man...
its not a place to take ur gf too... (thats if ur serious)...and to think that thers just ONE big party happinin this yr... @ tulip star.... rest of EVERYONE that i know is headed off to goa..
its that bad out here now... just the fact that jules n sasha came made this yr worth while...and it makes up for all the stereotype music we hear in clubs troughout ... :) |

| PSY.. i dunno why this thing is like all over the place.... I mean PSy trance = goa trance...its gone that bad... i mean i dunno why these mumabi djs cant play some simple...pure trance... u goto a club..and outside u read TRANCE NIGHT and more often than not u end up somewhere between hardhouse and psy.... so its kinda weird... i didnt go for sasha coz i knew it was goin to be prog... I just wish that TIESTO COMING TO MUMBAI RUMOUR turns into reality..I am dying to see him... heard so many of his sets right through 2001 .... TIC... also PVD should make another visit here... 2003 definitely belongs to PVD ...hes been just amazing... the classic energy 2003 set that he dished out ...my god... someone in mumbai... i hope u r listening...lol... |

i absolutely agree dude... akhtar sucks.. i met this guy personally at his place... we had some event in college so I happened to meet a lot of djs on mumbai's circuit.....he really sux... tries to be a cool dude but he aint...and u were bang on target ..he has the right contacts... we had WAR OF DJS in our fest and we needed a few djs as judges... we had a direct contact with akhtar only..but u know he managed to rope in a huge line-up for us...

House is slowly building up, but I think psy still dominates the 'trance' scene over here. F & I is definitely the best club music-wise. I agree about Velocity - but they've had some pretty good Psy/Goa acts there recently (GMS & Infected). It's a nice place physically speaking - but the crowd does suck there. |

yeah i think it would be great to know where ppl are goin for new years... but i think the topic has shifted from sasha to bombay..lol..not surprising... mayb we should have another thread where we can discuss such stuff... in ny case would be good to know where ppl are partying for new year... i wana go to some place where they play atleast some decent trance ( and i dont mean PSY..lol..) i know high hopes but nonetheless..:D |

lol well haveta wait to witness the gods man! lol indian people dont even know what TRANCE is... thats coz they never heard PROPER trance... coz none of the djs have given it a chance...lol we need to break the "play what the crowd likes attitude" i think if dj's play GOOD TRANCE MUSIC... people will definately enjoy it... i spoke to some dj's and was talking to one dj... telling him i listen 2 pvd...tiesto... lol hes like "oh euro stuf" lol.. and i was like kkkkkk! lol... ne ways they dont know the diff between a ivd or scooter or a dj sammy and
"DJ TIESTO!!!" the number one dj in the world man!
were living in a fantasy land :toocool:
paul van dyk was the prime example of a dj understanding a crowd.....but then his creativity is unmatched...but that was one night man...i was high on MUSIC and it was just a different world! :D |

| wow thats awesome Sasha played in my native land. Im not too familiar with indian clubbing/dj's but i sounds the scene is getting pretty modern over there. does anyone have any links to some of these dj's from bombay? or know of any good indian clubbing sites? |

I've had just bout enough of people confusing Trance with Psy.Zoheb you're right when you say that people expect Psy when you go to a trance night.
I cant beleive the Dj's also are so ignorant and have not discovered trance.
Hell this year the top 5 Djs in the world are trance Djs and to the best of my knowledge there's not a single psy act in the top 100.So why the hell cant the bigger Indian Djs push this sound.....I just dont get it.
Most of the psy culture is made up of people who are in it for the drugs.
I think only 20-30% of ravers are really in it for the music;which sucks cause music should be the only drug. |
