Please people... (my rant)

1. If you are a producer, and want to get feedback, DON'T POST IN MUSIC DISCUSSION. It doesn't matter how good you are, there is probably someone in here that is MORE talented than you are yet still posts here.. (for ex. haak, mk-s, dj cutoff, endre, mart, etc..)

2. Don't come in here thinking you are the . People don't care how good you think you are. If you are good, then people will say so. If your production skills need improvement, many of us will gladly help.

that's all i felt like getting out of my chest today... i feel better now ;)

That's interesting. Perhaps they post in music discussion because they will get more responses? Who knows? But I've seen some kids come in here, and say they are awesome, and in fact, they need a lot of help :| :wtf:

But, I love posting critiques whenever I get a chance. It feels good saying what I feel about another persons music - especially when the song affects me emotionally. -Mental

tranzmental... you are really awesome with your posts in this forum... keep up the good work!!

i wish i had more time to listen to all the tracks posted in here... but man... engineering just takes the life out of ya... :(

Thanks a lot man! I appreciate that, coming from you since, your an awesome poster too! Helping out new producers like 'DJZero' from Australia and such. You gave him MANY pointers, and I applaud that. In other words, your don't have nothing to hide, and you don't mind giving another producer, who has the potential to skyrocket a chance. In other words, you give out some of your techniques without worrying about him stealing your ideas - that takes a lot of guts! Some people keep their techniques to themselves with pride, but you are definetly unselfish, humble, and talented yourself.

I take your words seriously, along with 'State of the Matter'. That user is another genious with sound. I would like to hear his material, along with yours. I don't know if you remember me posting my track back in October (Jared Kesler - Sunset Prelude Tranzmental Mix) but that was the only work that I've posted here, that was quite respected. Although it had it's imperfections, I did try my best, for my first attempt on these boards.

Getting a bit off topic, I love writing - it's my passion, and I can't stop sometimes. That's why I love posting reviews sometimes. I also see that you like to write yourself, so I can commend that.

I wish to see more of your posts in the future! :happy2: :D Thanks for the great compliments! -Mental

I agree with your points of course.

Wish more of the people here posted worthwhile reviews though. It seems almost arbitrary which tracks generate 50 replies and others 4. I've listened to some amazing tracks in this forum that almost no one has bothered replying to. I know it takes a lot of time to do it, but hey, do unto others...

It still doesn't make it right though. The different forums are here for a reason...

Well I listen to as much as I can in this forum. I know people have taken of lot of time to make this music, so it's good to give them some in return. I was very appreciative to those who posted replies in my thread... :)

I must say I've been impressed by the contributions made to this forum by the four users above this post... Keep it up guys!

And yes, kewlness makes a very valid point indeed.

Thats a very valid point. 90% of people generally follow this rule & it's usually only n00b's that are the exception (not all) because they don't know better.

This is also true, but a lot of people in hre (including myself) have had previous experiences of other producers forums where the other people posting are unfriendly & tend to rip you apart on the slightest hint of self confidence, not saying names **cough.. reasonstation cough cough** :p This is possibly an answer.

There are some extremly talented people who post on the producer forums here on TA & as such there is a wealth of knowledge along with them. It's a goldmine for the up and coming producer and the more experienced ones (hell we can all learn something)
Theres also some great people on here who give good honest advice. The rate at which the quality of tracks posted on this forum is growing is outstanding and its all down to these people helping each other out :)

These forums are starting to get the recognition they deserve, a lot of people have realised that the true fresh new music lies not in the 'CD reviews & Discussion forum' but here in the producers forums. Fellow TA's DJ's & producers Including some of the top ones are coming here looking for fresh new talent.
Keep it up people :D

Damn straight. :toothless
Mr.Mystery
Also;
If you never give feedback to anyone don't expect me to give any back to you either. It's not a one way road.

There are certain semi-regulars here (no names mentioned) who only come here to spam (however good the tunes may be, it is still spam) their tracks and start bitching if they don't get enough feedback (even if it would be more than most people get).

dj-sean
Exactly. Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself.

Actually to be honest, there's a LOT of good music posted here and the reward for listening and reviewing should be the fact that you got the opportunity to listen in the first place.

theres a lot of good valid points made in here and all the people who have replied so far make huge contributions towards this forum. you've actually inspired me to make a better contribution towards others :D
