I stayed at the Excalibur when I was in Vegas. It is the oldest of the 3 hotels so it is a little more run down and the clientele is a little more along the lines of Nascar fans, if you get my drift. The room was not too bad and I only paid 50 a night (which is what it is most weekdays right now). The best thing abotu the Excalibur is the Prime Rib restaurant. I had a really really tasty dinner.

The Luxor is where I hung out on my spare time because, well it is cooler. It has the IMAX theatre and the rides and junk. It also has Blue Man Group (but it is way overpriced at $85, esp since I saw them free in Chicago) and they also have RA, which I gathered while I was there is one of, if not the place to be if you are into going out to clubs. I wandered through the lobby one night as they were opening the doors and I can say that it looked to be where all the showgirls go after they get off work cause my eyes kinda went like this :eyes:

I would say the Luxor is a better choice for another reason...it is that much closer to the conference center at Mandalay Bay. It is seriously like a half mile long walk from the front door of Mandalay Bay to the conference center. They place is downright gargantuan, it took me 45 minutes walking at a decent pace to get back to the Excalibur the afternoon I went to see how much Shark Reef was. And the Excalibur is only 2 doors down the road.

If you go, enjoy it.

Both times i went to Vegas i stayed at the MGM Grand. Its one of my favorite hotels in Vegas. Everyday when i got up i would go down to the lobby and watch the Lion Show!!! Totally Awesome!!!:eyes: I Love Big Cats:toothless
