hi :D
I just wanted to ask that.. if theres anyone with the i-river iHP-120.. Please PM me, just 2 question on my mind before I buy, and I didn't know in which forum to put this.. thanks y'all ;) :D

iPods don't support cue files but you can split the sets up into separate tracks and use a playlist to play them in order.

The playlisting capabilities of the iPod are very nice.

kind of off topic but....hows the sound on the iriver. I find that alot of mp3 players cant reach high volumes. I need my music loud to block out all the noises from the outside.

dunno about the others but the i-river seems to be very loud and with almost no distortion...at least thats what all the reviews said...

em.. but can I also use the i-river to store files?... like pictures and stuff?.. even if I can't view the on the i-river.. it would be nice to have a portable 20 gig hard drive ;)

MrSquirrel
but if I split them.. wouldn't there be that anoying silence between tracks? :s

thanks y'all ;)

iriver makes really really really good equipment.

i wish there was a way to use a cue sheet for those longass sets, cuz i don't feel like splitting up an mp3 and having pauses between the tracks.

The iPod can go quite high. That may be becuase I just use my Pioneer HDJ 1000s to listen and the headphones can block a lot of outside noise as well. For the moment I only use the 1000s with my mp3 player becuase I need to get the money for TTS now. The headphones are the first step for me and I may as well use them right? =) I know it's off topic but people probably think I'd be crazy to shell out $300 bucks for casual listening headphones.

Bottom line: if you can afford it, a good pair of headphones can make a large difference in blockin outside noise but I'm sure you already know that.

Just my 2 cents. =)

^^^ i second that one... i use my hd-280s for mixing but i have a pair of etymotic er-4 for listening

i have an iriver slimX imp-400 (cd mp3)

very satisfied, although as far as i know there are NO hdd-players nor CD-players that support cue-files.

Too bad, with my selection of around 200gb of livesets.

but the imp-400 can at least fast-forward at a decent speed, so thatīs at least something.

and depending on some good headphones it can be f*cking loud - loud enough to block out pretty much every sound, me thinks
