ps2 is the best.
that is why it is so popular. |
lol..ya, thats it
I'd say go with the PS2 but Xbox as some quality games too.
Oh, and "gamers" don't get a PS2...gamers get 2 or 3 consoles so they benefit from each.
ps. my fav so far is Cube; but PS2 and Xbox have some sick games too (MGS, Manhunt, Halo, PGR2)

PS2 > Gamecube > XBox
Yeah, previous Dreamcast owners are those kinda people who put their faith in a failing system....(I won't say anymore but I think most you know what I'm getting at)

well i got all 3 and ill take xbox anyday....especially if a game comes out on all 3 systems...xbox kills both... |
PS2 controller is the best for fighting hands down. I couldn't imagine playing a fighting game on XBox. Sure the XBox will have the best graphics of the three, but you gotta look at control too. I hate the Xbox controllers.

and what do you mean by DC owners putting their faith in failing systems? none of the current systems are failing...just because they're not number 1 they're failures?? |

On a worldwide scale, XBox is failing miserably. Microsoft is loosing money with each one they produce and I really don't see much of a future for the system. |

i think xbox is failing only in Japan....Gamecube is the weaker one... |

the Gamecube is trailing only in the States, and barely at that. In Japan the Xbox is being outsold by the PS1 sometimes. After the price drop the Gamecube has been selling like crazy here in North America. In the first month it outsold the PS2; and in November it was really close behind it.
I think worldwide, there's like a million unit difference (now probably less with the sales surge of the Cube) between the Cube and Xbox.

December 03, 2003 - Yesterday, a Nintendo press release stated that it was once again number one in the United States. Their release claimed that mroe than half a million GameCubes were sold during the Thanksgiving week. In retaliation, Sony has issued its own release, in which it announced that more than one million PlayStation 2s were sold during the month of November, furthering its installed user base to 22.5 million. |
I find it odd that Microsoft didn't comment...
Still, 500 thousand units moved in a week is very impressive. Nintendo really knows how to market their stuff. |

Yeah, for a console that has a bad image ("teh kiddie") in most people's eye, thats amazing for it. Hopefully the people that did buy it will realize that there's a bunch of great "mature" games.
As for MS not commenting...I think I know why they didn't :haha: :haha: |

I'm actually thinking about going out and buying a Gamecube myself. $99 isn't a whole lot and there are some great games on it. Plus there's plenty of more coming in the near future. Metroid Prime & Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 are reason enough to own a Cube. Plus I love the Wavebird. :D |
