I met you guys at Christian Island. You went to school with my friends Scott and Chris (Aldershot). You gave him a "Subconscious (sp?)" tape there.
I have one of your releases on white label, as the Alliance (Showtime) - still one of my fav's

Oh you just reminded me of another party with Icey - it was an amazing night!!!
The First MDMA party with Icey & Hardware it was wicked!!!!
They did an awesome job decorating the Wharehouse as well - back when all the parties got thrown there & we were all sick of the venue! They managed to make it not look like the wharehouse!
I was at the last Effective as well - someone mentioned it above - I hated it - way too crowded, too hot, that was the start of the decline of the scene - I won't get into it but some crazy happened at that party.....

I used to go every wed for like 2 two years - solid house!! ....wicked vibe! I miss that place!!! |

I used to hit that up every week as well when I lived @ Richmond&Simcoe (2 minute walk to the club!). Those nights were great too. |

Subconscious was a duo I was part of when I first started producing, long before I joined The Alliance (Tarl). We played a lot of shows in Hamilton and a few in TO as well. |

What I never understood was that this track came out on vinyl in 2001, but it was on the tape in 1998. Pre-Pre release or promo. Who cares - it was great on the tape.

i remember hearing a stream of Kimball playing at the Warehouse, i can't recall the name of the party, but i'm gonna find out ..

my first party was an effective party at shock. kimball collins and dj hardware. there were parties at luxor, warehouse, the hangar, docks and wemf was classic. christian island was an adventure and a half. there was the ferry ride and bus ride to boot. the best thing was we had to find parking. we drove up to some property by the docks and there was a family toking on their picnic bench. i assume it was the wife who went up to us and said, "are you here for the RAGE?" LMAO. they charged us $10 to park there for the weekend, but it was well worth it!
also, who was there for the last better days party? sasha and anne savage at the guv/warehouse. |
