OK! so i managed to get my christmas present a little in advance so im going tomorrow to Guitar Center to pick up my new CD decks.... I have decided to go for the DENON but I dont know if I should go for the DN-S5000 or the DN-S3000..... I really dont know the difference so if anyone can explain it to me that would be great..... also opinions to see if the price difference is really worth it.. Thanks!:D
Aris
I dunno what the difference really is (the 5000 pro. has more features and in/out plugs) but looking at them side by side at guitar center, I couldn't really tel the difference .. I bought the 3000 last Friday and I love it .. as it is, the 3000 has so many features, I don't think I'll ever use them or can remember some of the steps in order to use that specific feature!!! I found it online for $511 + S/H but bastards emailed and said they can't ship it for a few weeks. So I found another site that had it for $599 free s/h .. got a printout and went to guitar center and they price matched it .. $650 bucks with Tax :whip: :whip:

Why didnt you make them PRICEMATCH the one you found for $511?

I had an s5000 and hated it with a passion. Too many useless functions...the moving platter got annoying after a day. Personally, I would suggest goign with Pioneer cdj800's. If it has to be Denon though, i would say go with one of their dual cd decks....like the 9000 or 2600 series. Lol, if it HAS to be single decks, go with the s3000...cheaper, and less on-board bull than the 5000.

i had the denon dn-s3000 before, i didnt really like it. i wouldnt buy either the 3000 or 5000, insteadi brought 2 cdj 800's.

If you have the $$$ get 2 5000s, if not get 2 3000's.
2 s5000s will cost ya around $1700.00
s s3000s will cost ya around $1100.00

I don't really like the pioneer cd players at all.
Alot of people like them but for me they just didn't feel or react right.

There are alot of functions on the S5000 and it will take awhile to get used to. Withe the S3000 you can hop right and and spin.

if you want the differences explained to you better...
go to DN-S5000 message board

They are really informative and won't jump down your throat if you mention other companies products.

$511 sounds too good to be true .. They'll price match but if the price is reasonable and the company that sales it for less, has to be an authorized Denon reseller. The $511 was at www.discount-electronics.com ... Now I'm beginning to wonder what if that site is just a front to get people's credit card numbers :conf: :conf: cuz things are fairly cheaper than elsewhere and i thought the web site didn't look like was designed by a professional web designer!!

PSSL will price match plus 10% on any authorized dealer... When I got my 3000's, I got them to price match $549.00... So I got them for $499.00 (minus the 10%)
So you should be able to get them from an authorized dealer for that price...No need to get them thru someplace shady or Ebay

What is PSSL? I found a site that sells them for $499.99 but when I ordered my Sony Headphones from them they took like a month or more to get here and I've heard some wierd stuff about that site so I'm currently trying to get a trust-worthy site to pricematch them for $499.99 but if you say "PSSL" will pricematch plus discount 10% that would be even better :tongue3

Pro Sound Stage and Lighting...

http://www.pssl.com

When I bought my 3000's, I had them price match a price from djmart.com (I think). I ended up getting them $499 a piece w/ the price match plus no shipping... Guitar Center was going to do the price match also...
Also on DN-s5000.com one ofe the retailers on there is selling them for $549.00...
You def. don't have to buy them for $699.00 or buy them from an unknown dealer.
