Justin Timberlake is great!! I love "Justified" because the songs are catchy and the music is easy to listen to. The album is actually quite innovative, experimenting with many different types of music. I think the Neptunes deserve a lot of credit for that.

However, i still think that Justin Timberlake is very talented and i enjoy his music. He also has a great personality (from what i have seen on TV etc) and is very funny (see Punk'd!!).

Also, i think all you people baggin him should give him a break. If you don't like the music, dom't listen to it. Simple.

Justin Timberlake is "Pop" and is selling millions of albums because he has popular appeal - his image and his music has popular appeal.
I can understand why some TAs don't like him, but i think we should be able to respect all types of music.... :tongue2

P.S. You have to give him credit for popping Britney's cherry!!!

negative impact(s) (in my view) he has caused to the industry

and to music in general.

p.s.: i didn't realize how seriously you guys would take the 'f'

word into account (its used rather commonly out here in l.a.) and

if i offended anyone by my previous comment ... then i take them

back.

It's fine, it's probably the culture difference, the word 'fag' really isn't used much here, and it's viewed as derogatory/insulting.
As for the negative impacts, I agree, I really don't see why he's the one who's nominated when he didn't make any of the actual music on the album (besides singing of course).

Each to their own i guess. So long as trance remains underground where it belongs.

i enjoy some of his songs, and his album sold like crazy and he had chart topping songs right after this album came out, so well deserved indeed

Who was he up against in that category?

I don't mind Justin, he seems to be one of the more credible pop artists out there... especially considering he used to be in N'Sync, and still manages to have a cool image :p

amen!

I don't like Justin Timberlake one bit, he is still first and foremost a popstar making bad pop music. However, Sander K's remixes of Rock Your Body are very, very good :)

the hilarious thing about this thread is all the people that don't have a clue about the Neptunes. :haha:

I gotta admit that I like that one song of his; forgot what it's called but Sander K remixed it. Anyways, it's a pretty good song. I don't care who makes it, as long as I enjoy it.

Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body (Sander K Remix)

tune!! I <3

Sander is perhaps one of the few artists I would have venture a listen on a Timberlake song.... I was even reluctant to tell you truth...

But it def. is tunage.

And as for Justin, he is . I have no respect for over glorified commercial artists. He doesn't deserve half the credit he gets. Like was said the Neptunes produced most of the songs on the cd, and I dont know for sure but I would imagine he doesn't even write too much lyrics... So basically he is just an image that is used to promote music to the masses...

just my .02....

Justin timberlake has come farther then the other backstreet boys in terms of musical legitamacy but still anythings thats pop basicaly is over advertised garbage made from the same template of a hundred different songs

just think... electronica artists write the vocals, sing the vocals (sometimes or have someone else help them) and write the music.

pop stars only look good and sing what they're given...

how nice.
