What style is this?

I'm trying to define what subgenre the first Northern Exposure fits into. Also, what are some other tunes/CDs/sets similar to that style?
Occasu
Progressive House I think, it is how I discovered the Genre. Great CD's :).
Galapidate
I don't think it's house...sounds kinda trancey.

judging from another northern exposure cd and for what sasha & digweed use to play, i guess it is 'deep trance'. however, nowadays nobody uses that name, so you can call it 'progressive trance'..... i guess.

tracklist btw?

at the time of this release and around the renaissance ones, it used to be labelled as 'epic house'. this is what first got me into the edm scene mostly and then into trance
Galapidate
Odd, because other places I've been to label it trance, house, and various subgenres of those :(

i remember there being a big article on it in mixmag, don't ask me how i remember but i just do, i think it was the first edition i ever bought, and probably the last. anyway they interviewed sasha, digweed, Bt, danny howels amongst others and thats what they labelled it as.

yeah, can't speak for 1, but 3 has prog house, prog trance, among other genres. It is a compilation CD after all.
Galapidate
But in this case I'm asking about Northern Exposure 1, since it pretty much stays the same genre throughout.
