But I think the show makes it seem that way. They edit out a lot of similar footage of her and Jason clicking, make it look like she's hitting it off with Adam, knowing that she doesn't pick him. Then everyone is rooting for Adam, he gets dumped, we all sit and wait for his reaction, hoping he'll cry or freak out...

Most people find this ending unpredictable, but my BF and I were discussing last night and realized that this happens with almost all of these matchmaker shows....the footage gets edited to make the audience hope for one thing, then surprises them with something else...it makes the show less predictable to the uncritical viewer.

Anyways, the next one looks AWESOME.

You're right Sarah. They must have edited most of the scenes with Jason to make it look like she n Adam were clicking. But we couldn't help rooting for Adam bcuz he seemed like a nice person. As Rob pointed out, maybe she did pick the real average joe in the end.

Yeah, ok. I haven't watched it so I was going by what crazedcanuck wrote and at a quick glace it looked like he meant she picked the rich guy.

Anyways, don't they ever hear about the ladder theory?

Of course a hot girl is going to go with the hot guy and average girl is going to go with the average guy.

ALthough i hate these reality shows in general....i still caught the last 10 minutes of this show.

If the idea of the show was to give an average guy a break and get the girl of his dreams, with her choosing the the best looking guy who was not even part of the average guy group, then this show disgusts me on all levels.

Not only does it up the mentality of people who actually could have had a boost in confidence if the average guy won, but it just reinforces the idea that better looking people get the larger peice of the pie at the end of the day....even if they come late in the serving.

I hope the plane crashes when they fly out.

I didn't watch the show, but isn't that how real life is?

You are one bitter dude.

The people whose mentality and self-esteem gets ed up by the ending of AVERAGE JOE should NOT be watching TV at all. They should be in THERAPY.

So because she picked the more attractive guy (by your standards) that was her entire basis for choosing him? I mean, heaven forbid she actually had more of a connection with him.

The point of the show was about a bunch of average Joes getting a break..hence its title. But nooo... their dream of getting the girl is interrupted when a bunch of good looking guys crash the show and things up.

Look at the implications of the overall show, as opposed to the specific choice she made. It doesnt send out the right message.

Like when under priveledged kids loose to yuppie kids in a film. Yeah maybe they deserved it, but the implications are negative.

just the fact that gettting the "hot" girl is their "dream" is pathetic. so who cares if their "dream got crushed. and regardless of that, they are all there for the publicity, whether they admit it or not. If they want to meet the girl of their dreams, they should put an ad in the newspaper or join a book club, not flaunt their lives on national tv. don't pity them, they don't deserve pity
