| I have to get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning and i'm really not looking forward to it. Not to mention i don't have insurance right now so i'm paying OVER A GRAND to go through this torture. im not really bothered by the dentist but i've heard some bad things from friends about getting wisdom teeth out. just wondering about peoples experiences doing this. |

was a good experience for me, until i came down with mono the week afterwards. |

local anesthesisa you get novacaine to numb the gums and nitrous gas which is that laughing gas stuff
general anesthesia (which costs more) you get the novocaine to numb the gums and they put you to sleep
afterwards, most doctors, give you a prescription of vicodin for the pain |

| i'm getting knocked out with laughing gas, i told them to knock me out as long as possible. the bastards won't give me anything stronger then percacet(sp?) for afterwards, so i said they better give me a load of em. |

tell them vicodin isn't strong enough and it gives you stomach cramps and they'll give you something stronger everytime. |

Oh dude
I just got my 2 wisdoms taken out 3 weeks ago. Did not feel anything when he was doing it... You have nothing to worry about. It hurt a little bit the first day, but thats cause of the novacaine.
The whole process took like 11 min. 10 min for the novacaine to numb the gums, and 1 min for him to pull it out. He took this metal thing and started pushing against the tooth. And it just came out. I was like thats it???
It is very over rated if you ask me. Don't worry |
