The gatecrasher set is SICK! I drove around a lot this past weekend and I must have listened to to that set 20 times and it just keeps getting better each time. The whole time I am thinking, if he plays a set anything close to this in boston, im gonna flip! |

Dude ur interpretation of the PVD intreviews got u mistaken..... he doesnt Bash Trance as a music genre...just he doesnt agree with labeling the music in general with all these names..when in fact the music hasnt changed a bit!! His favorite style of msuci is Trance he just might not call it trance than Electronic Dance music........ and if you think PVD sux u obviously havent seen him live..... PVD can Teach those djs like tiesto,oakenfold,etc... a few tricks when it comes to full talent behind the tables....... i think why people love pvd so much probably cuz they seen him live and his whole on look on the scene and his productions and his style.....hes original doesnt copy anyone...or has a style anyone has ...his originalty is so PURE....and it makes him almost a GOD in such nature to this music......PVD is a Trend maker in this music scene..and u cant say that with many other djs....but hey u have your opinion on things even thought they might not be educated it doesnt matter hehehehehe |
ahh...I see...well thank you for educating me on this...LoL No man, it's not that I am not educated on PVD....well maybe a little....but I interprete what he says differently cause I don't like him. When he says I don't play Trance music I play Electronic Dance....that's a big ing slap in the face.....who the he think he is? I don't want to limit myself...blah blah blah..... man....Even Picotto says he plays trance, house and Techno...but he never alienates anybody by saying he plays just Electronic Dance music.... I think PVD needs someone to slap him back down to reality....That's just my opinion though....the guy thinks he is bigger then the music.... him...the only thing that is big on him is the size of his ego..... |

| BTW, no I have never seen him live...but it would have to be one hell of a performance to make me over look what he says.....But stranger things have happened....I still think Oakie kicks ass after everyone bashes him :) |

imo, no other dj can be compared to pvd... hes got an awesome style and can make a ing crowd blow up...
and he seems to do it all... awesome productions, great remixes, sweeeeeeeeet live sets
i HAVE to see him next time i get the chance... i cant miss it like i did with his last appearance at twilo
and as to the guy whose getting all pissed off about him calling his music electronic dance... who cares what the its called? its still the same damn music... so whats the big deal? |

I hate to keep this going...but, just look at it where I am coming from...I think PVD should know his roots....what are his roots? TRANCE!!!! That's right the music we all know and love....He forget's where he came from he's so big ...PVD:whip: :D |

PVD doesn't want to be associated w/trance b/c there is so much cheesy un orginal trance being made. He has become diverse & evolved. He plays a lil bit of everthing: techno, breaks, prog house, prog trance, hard trance, epic trance, tech trance ect. He's a music maker he doesn't want to be pigeon holed into 1 category. He has is own style. Pvd's music is a genre of it self. Stop concentrating on what he says & what he looks like. FOR THE LAST TIME IT'S BOUT THE MUSIC! |

umm when PVD started we didnt label it as trance yet .... back in early 90s in germany it was more considered electonic music or techno....just if it had a electonic synths with a 4/4 beat....like he said he played songs back in the early 90s that people just referred to them as TECHNO...and those same songs are Reffered to as Trance now...so dont blame the guy for thinking the labeling of genres is just BS somtimes... and he doesnt disagree when someone says hes a trance dj ...its when u ask him what music style would u call yours??? and i think u do need to see him live cuz ill garentee u would change and have way more respect for him..and see why so many of us practicaly worship him behind the decks.....and no he isnt arrogant and doesnt think hes the top of it all.....i think hes very humble as a matter of a fact.. and i dont think there is any other dj out there that would call PVD ty.... i dont care what genre they play or how much they his style..... u wont see other djs talk about him..cuz he gain respect for what he has done and accomplished... cuz MUSIC is MUSIC |
