Hi - for anyone planning on entering the Oceanlab remix comp on Anjunabeats.com, I found this info useful and hope you do too

(from Anjunabeats forum)
Hi There,

Some of the people taking part in the remix competition have been having problems using the parts because they are .aif files. Above & Beyond use macs, which is why they are using this format.

To convert them to .wav you can use several freeware programs like http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Aiff_To_Wave/

Happy remixing,

Steve

I've got the parts - great vocal!

i tried using that program but it dosent work for me, the files do not play back still. did it work for you? could you hook me up with them via PM if they work alright for you??

cheers,

Nell

p.s. little dissapointed to see that only the vocals were included for this remix. the naked angel competition had everything in the package.

www.dbpoweramp.com can do it, and is freeware. Just download the music converter, and head over the the 'codec central' page on the db website. Download the AIFF codec (Installing is simple, it's an automatic installer - You press install, it sets it up), and you're set.

That program didn't work for me either, so I just loaded them up in soundforge, then go file save as wav.

I'm sure someone will post up some midi's of the melody?

yeah, but they want a complete new remix which has not much to do with the original version...that is why there are only the vocals included...
