what exactly is an album sampler?
Never understood the sampler part? |

| Rather than releasing a whole album spanned on a couple of vinyls in ONE purchase, they sample singular songs and put them on seperate for seperate buys... i think :toothless |

It's a release with several tracks of a forthcoming album (although the number of tracks differ from one sampler to the other, there's never all tracks on it).
Used to give a preview on this forthcoming album.
Sometimes several samplers are released for a single album, so that in the end you can have all album tracks (as happened to 76).. |

but usually the sampler has like 3 or more different songs. you get more songs for ur money well unless the sampler costs more than what a regular release costs |

just the opposite really. look at the nyana album sampler--you get 8 tracks on 2 vinyl, all for about 15-20 bucks...if you bought each single 12", it would could you 70-80 bucks.. |
