| Montreal is just jealous that Toronto's scene is growing and that we aer getting bigger than you. BTW, does any deejay go to montreal more than once (residency, btw mc.mario does not count, as if you have real deejays, all your deejay suck, so you have to get big name deejays to come once). We have people like Andy C and Steve Lawler with bimonthly residencies. My advice to you, shut it. |

Are you stupid?
He just said that they have all been here within the past 8 months -- he never made any claim as to whether it was at 1 event or multiple events.
Making assumptions about what someone did not say and then calling them a moron based on that simply shows that your argument lacks cohesiveness and purpose.
Don't act like a dick, you make Montreal look bad.
Tu comprends? Good. |

hah don't with Swamper, great post guy.
I find that Montreal lacks a vibe, I've really only been to one Montreal party (freaky) and it was garbage, granted Digweed was kick ass, but the people were soo ing ass boring. I just find that Toronto is so ballsy, while Montreal is full of old french ladies who are so ing ignorant.
The party community in my opinion is so much more stronger in Toronto. Who saw the turnout at WEMF this year? Or the whole Tribe scene, these people are ing die hards. I actually heard that Toronto has the biggest jungle scene in the world (not like this applies to our argument but still interesting). Granted Montreal has had their share of great dj's but aren't they known for spinning a mostly house set to appeal to the Montreal crowds?? That's what I heard (stereo princess where are ya?)
:clown:
I think the trance scenes in both cities can be very similiar as well as very different because of the difference in cultures. I love the city of Montreal, but when it comes down to it, I'd stick with good ol T dot any ing day of the week. 514 productions? Give me a break? I could piss a better production company. Destiny, Liquid Adrenaline, Purple Heaven, even Hullaballoo is more impressive. This argument can go both ways, however I am a die hard torontah supporter.

I'm from Ottawa (that place in between Toronto and Montreal;)), and I've been to about 6 Toronto raves over the past year, and I just got back from my first Montreal rave a few days ago (Oasis).
I prefer the Toronto crowd, as there seem to be more ravers there, whereas at Oasis, the crowd was comprised of what seemed to be mostly clubbers (a sea of sweaty shirtless men and women in nuthin but underwear). However, I was absolutely amazed at the Molson Centre as a venue. Super-high ceiling, trippy lights and lazers (although a bit too bright in there), huge screen, packed but still room to dance, seats everywhere, and even mats to lie on upstairs. Venues in Toronto like the Docks and the Better Living Center can't even compare to the feeling of that place. Also, the security was great. They treated and searched everyone equally, and they even directed the women to be searched by women security guards, which surprised me. This was in stark contrast to the rude security guards that I've seen at most Toronto raves.
So given the choice, I'd probably hit Montreal for my next rave (Cream?) with a big group of friends and everything will be sweeeeet :D. Oh yeah, and I don't have anything against quebecois and their speaking French. I met a lot of cool people and when they knew I was struggling with my poor French, they spoke to me in English perfectly fine. |

First of all, I agree with frenchy......and u people should not be fighting with each other.....
I've been to Montreal at New Year's for like the past 3 or 4 years, its a great place, but there is no need to be mocking TO.....TO I would have to say is one of the best cities in North America for electronic music....so please!! there is no need for disrespect!!!!
Peace!!
