Gemini XL300's

Thinking of splashing out (student budget splashing out, not relative to industry standard equiptment) on Gemini XL300 (direct drive i'm assuming) turntable DJ Package for £250
Basically am I making a huge mistake? Are these decks so that its not worth it unless i have larger budget (which I dont), or are they fine for learning on, (bear in mind the only experience I have is about 20 min stints on traktor when i'm bored)
Any help greatly appreciated,

they are bad, way i see it, gotta start with some decks with at least good torque so records can catch up to speed quick |

i have 500's and the torque is a bit gash, but i learnt to mix on them pretty well, it makes it harder so when you come to technics it makes it easier.
although it is harder to get in a good technique groove when using decks at home then good dekcs other places.
then again if you cant afford its worth it., i got my 500's n a mixer for 150 second hand but first hand theyre 400 i think |
