I been wondering how do you extract a portion of a song such as a rock tune into a 130-135 bpm trance/techno/house track. An example like right now im trying to extract the first 5-10 seconds of linkin park - faint, you know the chorus synth/break beat part. I want to loop the part before the break beat comes in. my problem is getting that part in sync to make a loop. I'm using acid pro 4.0 to do this procedure and im having problems getting adecent loop out of it. Any1 have any advice on how to do this. I could use all the help i can get.

I could help you if you were using Cool Edit, but I've never used Acid.

Its all about the loop-points. Most important thing is cutting!
I would do that - cut the loop from track. Then open the cutted part in Recycle. Then "slicing", finding start and end points. Saving it to rex format. Then open it in sequencer and I can change the tempo :)
