Markus Schulz opens up the Broadcast! Currently very busy in the studio
producing and compiling tracks for his upcoming mix cd to be released
through Armada, Markus takes a break and gets us up to date on the hottest
tunes to hit vinyl worldwide. With Markus live at Space on Saturday nights
and Global DJ Broadcast on Sundays, what more could you ask for in your
weekend?
Gabriel & Dresden return to the Broadcast! The G&D boys just returned from
England and their video shoot for "As The Rush Comes". Taking a quick break
before heading back in the studio and out on the road, they made this
exclusive mix for us. Dave and Josh will be throwing down some exclusive new
tracks at their New Year's Eve performance at God's Kitchen in Birmingham,

Alex Dolby joins the Broadcast for the first time! Alex Dolby was born in
the rich land of Ciociaria, some years ago. He got involved in music
production after having attended several club nights around Italy. His
influences are djs such as Lory-D, Speedy-S and Lea Anibaldi but also in
the Italian house protagonists as Ralf, Flavio Vecchi and Ricky Montanari.
As soon as he got his own studio he started producing tracks which were the
fusion of electronic and house music. He worked hard and he reached his own
style, the same characteristic music flavor that nowadays calls so much
attention on him. The first record Alex Dolby released was 'Psiko Garden'
included in the 'From Ciociaria With Dub ep' along with the UNDO/REDO
'Driver Pink' single. This track caught the attention of several djs in the
Uk and was well received in clubs. For example the Fluke DJs said:"'Psycho
Garden' was number one for us. Will look forward to the next Mantra Vibes
release with baited breath". Pete Tong recently played 'Psycho Garden' in
his essential mix show on BBC RADIO 1. His next single, "Hazy Way" will be

Smith and Pledger make their debut! "If you haven't heard the buzz that's
been building around Smith & Pledger over the past few months then hang your
head in shame. Their confidently understated UK sound is already getting
support from the likes of Armin and John '00' and we reckon they're going to
be one of the biggest things to come out of trance this year." Mixmag,
September 2003. Smith & Pledger have been working together for nearly three
years and have gone from strength to strength since they first met. The pair
first started producing trance separately but have similar taste in music
and a clear idea of what they want to achieve. Mark (Pledger) has more of a
tough and club orientated musical view, while Oliver (Smith) is more into
the melodic side of trance. This set of skills and tastes combine to form
the signature Smith&Pledger sound. Focusing on both remixes and original
productions the team are looking to make big waves with this name. Already
completed are several high-profile remixes for the likes of Jono Grant and
Darren Tate (who describe the Smith & Pledger Club remix of 'Let The Light
Shine In' as "Absolutely Bangin'") and Lost Language Records' 2Players -
'Signet'. The pair have already been championed by the likes of Judge Jules
on BBC Radio 1 as well as Matt Hardwick (Gatecrasher), Jon O'bir (Gods
Kitchen), and Armin van Buuren (ID&T).
