UK 2Step and Garage music... What do you think?

I was just wondering if you're all familiar to UK 2Step and Garage music. If so: what do you think of it. Some people think it's the music of the future. I wouldn't go that far, but I sure like it (allthough not as much as I like trance).
If you're not familiar with 2Step: try downloading some songs by for example:
Artful Dodger
True Steppers
Grant Nelson
or
MJ Cole

Sad, just sad ... it makes me cringe when I think about how the club music is distancing itself from its original rave roots ... House I could stomach, at least it is groovy and soulful ... hardhouse I run away from ... 2step garage is just pure fromage (rhyme alert ... hehe) - ugh.
If you really do like 2step, you might also want to check out stuff by Zed Bias, or anything on the Sidewinder label ... |

| Ok, you're partially right, but 2Step will never take over the position trance has in clubs, because it's just too different. |

I gotta admit garage and 2-step annoyed the hell out of me when I first listened to it.. but now I kinda like that stuff!! I like Artful Dodger and Mj Cole and Zed Bias and Sovereign.. coolz stuff, all I gotta say is that I think it's more popular now because we've been used to hearing music that's a lot harder and progressive so peepz might want a little something softer and lighter.. u know balance..

2Step has taken over the clubs over here I'm afraid.
The problem is that a lot of it is at the moment as it's still early days in that Genre. Once more tracks are released, the quality of tracks will go up.
There are a lot of good tracks out there, you just need to find them.
Locked On is a well established Garage label, try checking out some of their stuff.
The good thing out of all this is that 2Step is being commercialised so the people that really love Trance will stick with it while carpetbaggers will move on so the quality of Trance will go up too. |

Aaaaaahhh! sorry but this has to be said, i really despise garage music. simple...
oh and dont worry the GOOD clubs in the UK havent been touched by the scum of garage just yet, and i very much doubt they will! |
