I am not sure if I am out of my depth compared to some of the artists on here, but I would like a comment or 2 on a track I made called Journey To Zephyna
It is a soft trance track that gradually builds and I feel it is my best track so far although it still needs one or 2 adjustments.
thx in advance

Not a bad amateur effort. The synth work could be developped, the kick could have some more low end. Percussions are decent but you could use some more layers. Pretty good pads in the breakdown, though I think they have a little too much attack on them. Also the strings that come in over the pad are out of key at certain times; make sure you stick within your key!
This is pretty nice though; a lot of positive points. |

Thx for the comments,I admit there are one or two bars slightly out of key(but only slightly LOL)
I have no real musical knowledge so what I know has always been based on trial and error, but I do feel I am getting there slowly.
I also think the percussion could be a little more varied and also I will reduce the attack somewhat.
thx again

| not bad. it does have some kind of amateur feeling though. the synths could be a bit better, dunno how to explain it, they just sound fake and unprofessional. the kick is kinda annoying, try using another sample. the bassline ain't too bad but sounds a bit cheesy for me. the melodies are quality though, i'd say it is your strongest link so far. keep trying, you're on the good way. |
